Identification Cards

Retirees may apply for ID cards at the ID Center. Acquiring an OSU ID will help simplify your ability to receive many other campus services.

Parking on Campus

Parking permits are available for retirees and may be purchased at the Parking Services Office.

Enrolling in Classes

Retirees continue to be eligible to enroll in OSU classes at staff rates if your last FTE on record is .5 or greater. The rate applies only if you are taking the class for credit.  You may audit classes at no charge with the instructor’s consent.

OSU Bookstore

With an OSU retired staff ID card, you are eligible to receive faculty discounts.  This discount applies to purchases made on the book (lower) level only.

Faculty/Staff Fitness Program

Retirees may enroll in classes offered through the Faculty/Staff Fitness Program.

Department of Recreational Sports

Retirees may purchase memberships to use other recreational facilities such as Dixon Recreation Center.  Memberships are available by the term, year, or day at regular staff rates when you present your OSU ID card.

OSU Alumni Association

Retirees are eligible to join the OSU Alumni Association. For a description of fees and benefits visit the OSU Alumni Association.

Beaver E-clips

Each week the OSU Alumni Association publishes Beaver E-clips, a free electronic newsletter which keeps alumni, friends, and supporters of OSU up to date on the latest news about Oregon State University. Subscribers are linked to news stories covered by local, state, and national media.  To subscribe, visit the Beaver E-clips website at or subscribe to the email version, send a blank email to join-e-clips@laser.sparklist.com.

Valley Library

Retired faculty and staff may purchase a library card at the circulation desk as long as they have an OSU ID card.  Emeritus faculty receives regular faculty library privileges without having to purchase a library card.
